It was June 15, 1964, over 50 years ago now, that The Beatles came to Melbourne and appeared on the balcony of the Town Hall.
A memory that appears to have faded over time concerns John Lennon, who caused a stir that day when he gave the crowd a playful nazi salute.
John Lennon also held a finger across his top lip, imitating an Adolf Hitler style moustache.
