That’s almost 5 million Australian people trying to wreck everything for the rest of us.

I stretched the truth and went all alarmist on you, by wrongly asserting the entire population of Australia has internet access, when that’s not true.

I should have said one in five Australian internet users is trying…

See how easy it is to deceive people?

But it’s true… a very large number of Australian people, several hundred thousand people are in fact trying to “break the internet“.

And how are those several hundred thousand doing this you ask?

By installing ad blocker software.

What’s actually happening is a little over 20% of Australian people online are giving the finger to online advertising, and good on them for waking up.

If you want the source of my information, go sick.

Online advertising often wastes bandwidth, and will force itself upon you out of nowhere unexpectedly, and sometimes, carries a malicious intent by installing malware.

If a consumer isn’t happy with a service, why wouldn’t you fix it yourself if you could?

“Big business” isn’t exactly known for giving a shit what a customer thinks last time I checked.

And that’s who’s pointing the finger, big business, crying foul when the small guy dare try defend himself from the incoming storm of shit.

Despite the problems of big business, my internet still works fine, and I’m guessing yours does too…

(Shutup about your NBN, let big business have a whinge for a sec…).

Broken internet, my left foot, cough bullshit cough, whinge whinge, capitalist pig tales of woe and victim blaming horseshit.

Oh, it’s that guy again!

The “problem” of ad blocking has become so bad for big business that self appointed almighty boss hog of the internet in Australia, Rupert Murdoch, has started locking ad blockers out of his online kingdom.

Oh noes!

First in Sydney, and now the old man is extending the poor me stance right across the country.

Behaving like that always drunk uncle at the annual family Christmas gathering, NewsCorp has come out swinging, blaming anyone but themselves for their problems.

NewsCorp folk are asserting such truths as (warning: it’s deception time again peoples) “quality journalism is at risk“, and “ad blockers are destroying NewsCorp’s business model“.

Aww, old mate ain’t happy by the sounds of things.

“Quality journalism” says NewsCorp?

Quality, where?

“Quality journalism” is a bit rich, coming from the purveyors of such bullshit as attacking the battlers on welfare, or kicking indigenous people around on a regular basis.

Or perhaps blaming Muslims for the worlds problems so the old man himself can make further millions via his oil investments…

Hacking phones of murdered schoolgirls anyone?

That’s some quality shit indeed!

The list of the NewsCorp perversions is almost endless.

And what’s this nonsense about “ad blockers destroying a business model“?

Consumers are usually more than happy to pay for a product that meets their expectations of quality – that’s how capitalism works doesn’t it?

If you’re not making enough money, you adapt to the circumstances, not blame your customer.

The old deception trick at work again, telling a lie often enough hoping people will begin believing it.

That’s the NewsCorp way.

Get a load of this shit, which is a genuine view of the news.com.au front page from about a year ago.

If you don’t want people to block advertising…

This is a guaranteed way to force people into blocking advertising!

Of course, everyone else is “the problem“, as always.

For those unaware, news.com.au is the NewsCorp Australian online portal for “news“.

It’s often where people go to stay stupid, and learn cool things like what the Kardashians are eating, what Kanye bragged about last week – that kinda “news“, among other distractions from the truth.

Don’t stay stupid, you’re better than that to continue feasting on the diet of NewsCorp junk food.

Taxi time old man, you’re drunk on power again, and it’s time to leave!

You can do it!

Perhaps you’d prefer to remove NewsCorp from your life forever (by far the best option)?

You can start by walking over to your Foxtel box and smashing the bastard, or perhaps call them up and tell them to go jump.

You wouldn’t be the first to reject NewsCorp junk and unlikely to be the last either.

Murdoch blocker software has been around for years now.

I don’t recommend using Murdoch blocker browser extensions as they’re getting kinda old now and rarely updated.

You’re far better off arming yourself with a list of everything owned by NewsCorp globally so you can start the cleansing process and DIY.

So no news is good news?
